The consumer protection association Ius Omnibus filed, on March 21, 2022, in the Court of Competition, Regulation and Supervision, in Santarem, a class action against Google and another against Apple for violation of competition rules. It is alleged that there are anti-competitive practices of these tech companies in the app store markets, which have allowed Google and Apple to charge an excessive and disproportionate commission to developers (30%) for each sale made through the platform, cost that is transferred to consumers (in the form of an overpricing for apps and content within the apps).

You can read more about the Google and the Apple cases on the Ius Omnibus Association website.
